Senior Software Developer: Ad Serving Programmer/Analytics
Basic Function:
Design and develop new system components and key features for ad serving technology and analytics.
About the Job:
The person in this role will focus his/her time to develop new solutions for ad serving technology within our network. This includes designing and developing system components that analyze online ad campaigns, advertisement impressions and click logs, simulating the advertising marketplace and assessing the impact of new technologies and design on the marketplace. Close collaboration with the marketing team and development team is needed to design product feature specifications. The person in this position manages ad serving and analytics product feature lifecycles, including requirements design, implementation, testing and deployment.
This is a newly created position requiring a highly skilled individual who will create web analytics and ad serving technology for the internet. Although all code here is written using a mix of Ruby, Python, Javascript and even some .NET, we want to speak to any demonstrably passionate developer, whether or not you have experience with these specific technologies.
Additional Information:
Interaction with others is predominantly internal. You must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and have a hands-on, "get it done" approach. This is not a 9 - 5 job, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We all wear multiple hats, cross departmental lines and go above and beyond to get the job done.
Skills and Experience:
- College degree and/or relevant experience required.
- 3+ years experience developing ad serving and web analytics programs.
- Excellent development skills (any modern language)
- Must understand quantitative statistical methods and tools
- Software development on large scale highly available web sites
- Object oriented design and development
- Relational database design
- Demonstrated experience in scaling web based applications
- Excellent Agile development skills

Senior Software Developer: Reporting and Financials Programmer
Basic Function:
Design and develop a transaction gateway for new system components and key features for financial reporting technology, data integration and analytics.
About the job:
Any company lives or dies by the quality of its data. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing a full cross-functional analytics and reporting suite across the company. Initially this will involve data mining for the various departments, with a longer term goal for a fully joined-up and highly integrated system. This includes not only grabbing data from our own high-profile online assets, but also integrating with top-of-the-line systems like Salesforce, Creative Manager, Parature and others.
If you are a passionate and experienced technologist who thrives on creative and intellectual challenges, this opportunity is perfect for you. We are looking for someone with a "can do" attitude and the experience to back it up, someone to help drive us towards the ultimate digital nervous system. We plan to use .NET based development, but you should be comfortable working with dynamic scripting languages (Python, Ruby) and open source data stores (MySQL).
The person in this role will focus his/her time to develop back-end programming solutions, creating technology and reporting of complex data and financial transactions using multiple programming languages, and will maintain quality control of an entire historical database by inspecting and troubleshooting terabytes of data; Manage and maintain different databases of dynamic financial information, matching/mapping data across various systems and historical time periods.
Reporting will include, but is not limited to page ranking analysis, SEO data, traffic, optimization trends, contest voting, advertiser spending, what-if scenarios, complex financial transactions, etc. Accuracy and strict attention to detail are required to ensure that our financial database is producing meaningful, value-driven results.
The person in this position will manage requirements design, implementation, testing, deployment and reporting. This is a newly created position requiring a highly skilled individual who'll support the financial systems and reporting needs of the business. Working with new technologies and simultaneously managing various cross-functional projects will be the norm.
Any experience with data warehousing and business intelligence solutions on a Microsoft platform is highly valued.

You will be part of the team responsible for driving key development features of all our online assets, including the infamous PayPerPost.com. You'll help design and code new functions, and you will play a role in maintaining the big picture long-term overview of the overall platform and technology development.
